Lady does this or that? Well it's not like that ladies. I am just on a streak of bad luck for women. Do not fret my store is full of men who work all day then shop at night with the kids while their wives are at gym working out.

I Digress..the asian coin lady was yesterday at work. I shouldn't pick a race, but many asian women (and men) do this to me. But yes, others do as well. Anyway I ring this lady up and tell her the amount due which was like $22.87. She hands me a twenty...then two singles...then she begins to get change out of her purse. So I hold my hand out like I usually do and what does she do? She begins putting one coin at a time on the conveyor belt. This happens to me all the time, so I move my hand closer to her, more coins hit the conveyor belt. Now my hand is directly below her nose almost and what does she do? Yes, you are right, she puts the remaining change on the conveyor belt!! So I pick up the change and express how rude and ridiculous that was. Do you find this rude? Quite often if people put all their cash down on the conveyor belt or elsewhere when my hand is out I will also put their change down for them also.

Maybe some people are phobic to come near others skin and perhaps its a culture thing I admittedly don't know enough about. But it's still rude!

The Lightbulb Lady..

A lady came in today and told me she had just made a complaint to the manager. She was getting one of the hot rotisserie chickens and burnt her hand on the heating light bulb. She couldn't believe we would have lightbulbs there!! Where else would we have them?!?!?! In an oven!!!??? Even though there are several warning signs about how hot it is she wanted us to put a sign up that said the lightbulbs were extremly hot. I gave her the appropiate sympathy and sent her on her way.. She proceeded to go home to her husband who happened to be a doctor. The husband then called the store and told us he wanted an accident form because HE wanted to have it on file and she was in pain.

Let me ask you, how old were you when you learned not to touch a heating lightbulb?

The Turkey Lady on Thanksgiving...

So one of our everyday customers came in the day before Thanksgiving to return her turkey. She started by telling us there was something wrong with her turkey. She explained when she tried to put it in the pan that it kept falling over. She said she'd never seen a turkey that looked liked this before. She went on to explain that the turkey was missing parts. It didn't have any wings or legs and she wanted her money back. After looking in the bag we told her she bought a turkey breast and not a whole turkey so there's not supposed to be any wings or legs. She still insisted that she had a defective turkey. We gave her her money back. Before leaving the store she said she wanted the bag back that she brought the turkey in because she had used a gift bag. We told her it was really gross and full of turkey juice. So she wanted us to give her a new gift bag for free. We didn't give her a new bag but told her she could have the old one if she wanted it.

This is my very first post and just want to get the blog rolling.
